Perfume Addis

Questions, answered

What customers most often ask us about buying and wearing perfume.

Yes. Every fragrance we sell is sourced from trusted suppliers and recorded against a batch number when it arrives at our warehouse, so any bottle in our shops can be traced back to the shipment it came from.

The difference is the concentration of perfume oil. Eau de parfum typically holds 15 to 20 percent and lasts six to eight hours. Eau de toilette holds roughly 5 to 15 percent, smells lighter, and lasts three to five hours. Parfum is the most concentrated and the longest lasting.

Addis Ababa is mild and dry for much of the year, which suits fresh citrus and aromatic fragrances during the day. For cooler evenings and the rainy season, warmer woody, amber and spicy scents carry better.

We sell through shops across Addis Ababa and can arrange delivery within the city. Contact us with the fragrance you want and your area, and we will confirm availability at the nearest shop.

Keep the bottle away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity — a closed drawer or cupboard is ideal. Stored properly, an unopened bottle keeps for years, and an opened one for around two to three years.

Top notes are what you smell in the first minutes and they fade quickly. Heart notes emerge after that and form the main character of the scent. Base notes appear last and linger on skin for hours, giving the fragrance its depth.
